William T. Morrissey

William T. Morrissey of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 22, 2023. He was 76 years old.

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Harold and Edna Morrissey. After graduating English High in Boston he went on to serve our country in the U.S Army during Vietnam. He also earned degrees from Northeastern University, Boston University, and Massachusetts School of Law. Bill became a Boston Police Officer and rose through the ranks retiring as a Lieutenant after 38 years of service. He loved cooking and trying new recipes. Bill served as a member and President of the New England Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association. He was also a lifetime member of Port Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. Boating was his passion.

Beloved husband of Kimberly Mahoney of Weymouth, Adoring stepfather of Shannon Mahoney of Holbrook. Loving grandfather of Jordan and Mia. Cherished brother of Charles  Morrissey of Mattapan, Joan Dwyer and her husband Charles of Weymouth and the late Harold Morrissey Jr. He will also be missed by many nieces , nephews, extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:15 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Burial to follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
