William Soderberg

Soderberg, Dr. William P. of Hingham February 20, 2007. Bill was born June 29, 1947 in Boston, MA to Linnea and William A.Soderberg. After attending North Park College and Northwestern Dental School in Chicago, IL he practiced dentistry in Rockford, IL and Weymouth, MA. In addition to his profession, he sang with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Boston Cecilia. He was on the Board of Overseers of South Shore Conservatory, the Leadership Society and a member opf the Hingham Yacht Club. Bill was a true Renaissance man who loved music, art, cooking, gardening, giggling, humor, story telling, traveling and most of all his family and friends surrounding him in laughter and discussion. He was a passionate Gustav Mahler scholar and a lover of the American songbook. Bill always stayed up all night “to sing them all”, as he would say “Viva la repartee”. Bill died on the beautiful island of Mustique in the Grenidines. He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Sherry Johnson, daughter Dr. Britt Soderberg, son-in-law Dr. Ryan Pena and numerous family, friends and family of choice. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Friday in St. John the Evangelist Church with Rev. Robert Edson officiating at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private.
