William S. “Willie” Cullen

Cullen, William S., 75 of Quincy, MA passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. 

Beloved husband of 51 years of Leona (Engren).  Caring son of the late Joseph E. Cullen and Elizabeth (West) Cullen.  Loving father to William S. Cullen Jr. and his wife Lee of Quincy, MA, Cheryl Breen and her husband Michael of Norfolk, MA and Tracy Branstrom and her husband Derek of Sharon, MA.  He leaves his three loving grandchildren Brett Cullen and Kylie and Declan Breen. Devoted brother of Terrance Cullen of Florida, Betty McLean of Quincy, Alice Ash and Patricia DiLillo both of Weymouth and his late brothers Joseph, George, and Eugene.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A lifetime resident of Quincy and graduate of Quincy High School class of 1958, Willie worked as a timekeeper at General Dynamics Shipyard from 1964 to 1985.  He also worked in construction at DCI and retired from the Hancock Park Nursing Home in 2002, where he worked on the maintenance staff.  Willie loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed fishing, especially with his brother-in-law Eddie, and watching all Boston sports teams. Willie and Leona loved to travel, including memorable trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and their most recent adventure, a cruise to Bermuda with family and friends. Willie was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
