William S. “Billy” Quirk went home to be with the Lord on May 1, at the age of 63. Born is Stoneham, Ma. Billy lived first in Somerville, before moving to Hingham in 1968, where he resided for most of his life. Faced with multiple emotional and health challenges, Billy lived a life of unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ sharing the message with relatives, friends, Uber drivers and strangers alike. He had a gregarious personality, made friends easily and was well liked by all who knew him. He was extremely intelligent, well read and articulate, qualities that made him an engaging conversationalist.
Billy is predeceased by his parents, Joseph F. and Jacqueline A. Quirk. He is survived by his three brothers, Joseph F. Quirk of Haverhill, Thomas S. Quirk of Hingham and Edward M. Quirk of Marshfield. He is also survived by his nephew Corey Quirk of Marshfield, his nieces Jennifer Quirk of Weymouth, Kayla Quirk of Hingham and Angela Hatch of Thomaston, Maine.
Funeral services were private.
Expressions of sympathy can be made in memory of Billy to Feed The Children, an organization Billy had been actively sponsoring for many years.
Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with Billy’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above.
