William R. Higgins

Higgins, William R. of Hingham, died March 12, 2014, he was 87.  

The beloved husband of 63 years to Corinne  R. (Bergen) Higgins. Cherished father of James E. Higgins and his wife Barbara of Plymouth,  Carol L. Gouin and her husband Maurice of So.Attleboro, John W. Higgins and his wife Susan of  Camden, ME, Thomas A. Higgins and his wife Denise of Kingston, Paul R. Higgins and his wife Diane  of Fairhaven, Richard F. Higgins and his wife Terri  of Rockland. Mr. Higgins is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A proud W.W. II Navy veteran, William worked for Boston Edison for 40 years. He enjoyed boating, cruising, sailing and  sailboat racing.  A long time Hingham resident, he and his beloved wife Corinne enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who instilled in his children as strong work ethic. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

Funeral service and burial will be private.
