William R. Carney, Sr.

Carney, William R., Sr. of Quincy died November 11, 2014.

Bill is a proud veteran of the Unites States Army. His passion was his family, he loved just being together with them. He was a very sociable person and loved to travel with his wife Ruth. Their favorite destinations being Ireland and the Canadian Rockies. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Beloved husband of Ruth (Heaney) Carney. Loving father of Bill Carney Jr. and his wife Debbie of Flaherty, KY, Catherine Leet and her husband Kevin of Plymouth, Kevin Carney and his partner Tom Bengtson of Rock Island, IL, and Mary Ryan and her husband Tim of Quincy. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
