William P. Mcgaffigan

Mr. William P. McGaffigan, of Norwell, passed away on April 4, 2023. He was 81. 

Billy was married to his loving wife Ginny for 57 years and was a longtime resident of Weymouth. Family meant everything to him, and he loved nothing more than to attend the multiple sports, music and dance events of his many children and grandchildren.

He also loved sports, travel, music and the outdoors. His optimism and indelible spirit will be sorely missed by many.

Billy was a proud veteran while serving his country in the United States Air Force.

Beloved husband of Virginia M. “Ginny” (Jackson) McGaffigan.

Loving father of William McGaffigan and his wife, Patricia of Rockland, Debra Milne and her husband, William of Norwell, Beverlee Flint and her husband, Thomas, of Marstons Mills, Lisa Hermanson of Whitman, and Kevin McGaffigan of Weymouth. Brother of Bernard McGaffigan and his late wife Marie, of Norton,  Susan MacDonald and her late husband, Herbert of West Roxbury, and the late Anthony McGaffigan and his late wife, Helen. Papa of Alexander and his husband, Travis, Sarah, William, Matthew, Elizabeth, John, Jared, and Sean. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, April 13th, from  4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). 

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM 

Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth
