William P. Hunt, of Weymouth, died on his 80th birthday, February 25, 2017, after a period of failing health.
Bill was born in Boston, son of the late William and Delia (Beasty) Hunt. He was raised and educated in Mission Hill, graduating from Mission Church High School. He later graduated from Northeastern University, and earned his Masters Degree in Education from Cambridge College. Mr. Hunt was a proud veteran of our Nations Armed Services, serving in the United States Army Korean Conflict from 1957-1960. He spent many years working in facilities management, 20 of which he spent as Facilities Management Director for the Bank of Boston. Bill loved spending time with his family, who fondly remember him as having the greatest sense of humor, and a quick wit.
Bill was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Reid) Hunt, the loving Father of Deborah Harrington and her husband James of Hanover, Kevin McQuaid and his wife, Cheryl of Derry, NH, Karen Harvey and her husband, Wayne of Weymouth and the late Joseph McQuaid and his wife, Donna of Plymouth. Also survived by his sisters Regina Murphy of Wakefield and Claire Hunt of Marblehead, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 10 AM-12 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
