William K. Gillooly

William K.  Gillooly of North Quincy, died suddenly on January 31, 2017.  The beloved son of the late Francis and Alice (Connell) Gillooly. Brother of  Francis M. Gillooly of North Quincy,  John P. Gillooly of Hingham, Robert Gillooly of Plymouth and the late Nancy Gillooly.  Longtime companion of Steve Holochuck of Quincy. Uncle of Kristin Buckley, Laura Lambert, Kevin, Mark, Erin and Andrew Gillooly. Great Uncle of Teddy, Audrey and Clara Lambert and Emma and Megan Buckley.  A lifelong Quincy resident, Bill graduated from Boston College High School and continued his education graduating from the University of Massachusetts. He was the longtime manager of Media Services Unit at Boston University. Former employee of U Mass – Boston. Bill had a passionate interest in the latest technology and electronic devices. He was an avid reader and a movie buff, he had a keen interest in researching his family’s genealogy. Bill will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.

Cremation will follow.
