William J. Welch

Welch, William J. of Quincy, April 16, 2006. Son of Virginia (Dauphinee) of Quincy and the late Charles J. Welch. Husband of Patricia (Daly) of Quincy. Loving father of Melissa Welch of Quincy. Brother of Joan Sacchetti of Chelmsford, Elaine Buonvicino of Duxbury, Virginia Connerty of Raynham, Robert Welch and Marie Stewart, both of Quincy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, No. Quincy at 11 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. Bill was a 1973 graduate of North Quincy High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Boston University in 1977. He completed his education at Boston University with a Master’s Degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1979. After graduation Mr. Welch worked for many years in the Biotechnolgy Industry. He was a lifelong Boston sports fan. Bill enjoyed outdoor activities, woodworking and furniture restoration. He had a passion for music and collected an extensive array of albums. William loved to read, especially history and non-fiction. Donations in memory of Mr. Welch may be made to Fr.
