William J. Hogan

 Hogan, William J. “Bill” of South Weymouth, died July 14, 2016.

Bill worked as an optometrist in South Weymouth for over 35 years, In his early years Bill enjoyed skiing and horseback riding. He could often be found bird watching and wood carving. He was a man of devout faith and was a daily communicant. Bill’s family was the foundation of all that was important to him. He will be dearly missed. 

Beloved husband of the late Joanna (Fortunato) Hogan. Devoted father of John Hogan and his wife Patricia of WA, Valerie Varner of Plymouth, Kathy Hassell and her husband Dan of Norwell, Brian Hogan and his wife Lori of RI, Mark Hogan of Norwell, Matthew Hogan and his wife Mary of PA, and the late Kevin Hogan. Loving brother of Ellen Moriarty of SC and the late Janet Canning. Cherished Poppa of 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne will be private.
