William J. Francis

Francis, William J. “Bill” of Quincy, died September 28, 2014. 

The beloved husband of 47 years to Janice  (Krantz) Francis of Quincy. Father of Stephanie Gill  and her husband Kevin of Wrentham and  Daniel Francis,QPD. and his wife Jean of Abington. Brother of  Donald Francis of Norton, Marilou Conkey of Weymouth and the late John W. Francis. Cherished grandfather of Samantha & Michael Gill and Sean Francis. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Boston Bill grew up in Dorchester. He was a graduate from Hyde Park High School, Franklin Institute and then Northeastern University.  He married and moved to Quincy in 1967. Bill worked as an engineer for the Gillette Company and then for U.S. Surgical, before he retired. He enjoyed golf and traveling especially  to Marco Island and Europe. The cornerstone of his life was his family, he cherished them all. They feel blessed to have had him in their lives. He will be sadly missed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton at 9 AM. Cremation will follow.
