William J. Dooley, Sr.

Dooley, William J., Sr., “Bill” of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was a graduate of Northeastern University and a veteran of the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division.  One of his greatest joys was golfing with his buddies at the President’s Golf Course where he was a longtime member.  Bill was very proud of his Irish heritage and expressed this through his music playing with the Dooley Brothers and most recently, The Dooley’s.  More than anything Bill enjoyed spending time with his large loving family.

Son of the late Francis and Helen Dooley.  Beloved husband of Kathleen (Dole) Dooley of Quincy.  Devoted father to William J. Dooley, Jr. and his wife Debra of Braintree, and Sean M. Dooley and his wife Tracey of Quincy.  Brother of the late Francis Dooley, Joan (Dooley) McGrath, the late Nancy (Dooley) Jensen, Patricia (Dooley) Rollo, Kevin Dooley, and Robert Dooley.  Beloved “Bubba” to his grandchildren Shane, Krysta, Caitlin, Sean, Maura, Michael, and Tyler.  Also survived by 34 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.  Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
