Morton, William J. “Bill” of Weymouth, died April 11, 2021.
Bill worked a very long career in plumbing, followed by working in the maintenance department at Norfolk County, where he retired. Bill was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Morrisette Post. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor. Bill will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Pat Morton of Weymouth. Loving father of Patty Leonard and her husband Colin of Whitman and Tracy Morton and her companion John Wilson of St. Petersburg, FL. Devoted Papa of Liam, Caitlin, Maura and Taryn Leonard. Cherished son of the late Chester and Fran Morton. Caring brother of Marilyn Bazarian and her husband Richard of Belmont and the late Teddy Morton. Adored brother in law of Janet Morton of New Hampshire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although some may not be able to gather together with Bill’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message.
