William G. Sweeney

Sweeney, William G. of Everett, died on Thursday, October 15, 2009 after a long illness at the age of 57. Husband of Diane G.(Bellone) Sweeney. Son of Alice (Last) Sweeney of Quincy and the late John Sweeney. Father of William S. Sweeney of Wollaston, Steven Sweeney of Weymouth, Kerri Woods of CT, Erin Sweeney of NY, Chris & Shannon Sweeney both of Everett. Brother of John Sweeney of Quincy and the late Paul Sweeney and Susan Sweeney-Schiffer. William is also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. William grew up in Dorchester. He spent time in Weymouth and also in Martha’s Vineyard before moving to Everett 4 years ago. William worked as a self-employed glass installer for many years before he was forced to retire early due to his failing health. William was a outgoing man, full of personality, who enjoyed being around his family. He will be remembered as a proud father who cherished his children, a loving husband and a beloved son. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow the visiting hours on Sunday evening beginning at 6:30pm. Burial will be private.
