William F. Macdonald, Sr.

MacDonald, William F., Sr. “Billy” of Quincy, died June 25, 2014.

Billy (aka Wilbur to his close friends and family) proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the City of Boston and then went on to be a Teamster for the Local 82. He loved football and baseball and always rooted for the Patriots and Red Sox. In his spare time, Wilbur enjoyed boating and golfing. Myrtle Beach was one of his favorite vacation spots. Above all, however, he loved his family. Spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and sons was what he enjoyed the most. 

Loving father of William MacDonald Jr. of Braintree, his wife Barsha and their children Brittany, and William Alfred. Gary MacDonald of Quincy his family Suzanne  Paige, Cara, Elizabeth, Nick, Bob, & Joel.   Jonathan MacDonald of Florida, and the late Christopher MacDonald. Cherished brother of Gertrude Masterson of Lakeville, Frances Piatelli of Roslindale, the late Mary O’Connor, and John “Jack” MacDonald.  Beloved brother-in-law of Carol MacDonald and her children Nancy, Jack, David, Christine & Michael.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
