Hale, William F., Jr. of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family on April 13, 2009. Loving husband of 57 years to Alice (McLaughlin) Hale of Quincy. Father of Robert E. Hale and his wife Laury of Milton, Barbara J. Walters and her husband Bill of Grafton, Richard D. Hale of FL, Susan H. Ciulla and her husband Joseph of Canton and David Hale and his wife Susan of Provincetown. Son of the late William F. Hale, Sr. and Catherine (Nolan). Brother of the late Mary Dever. Uncle of Elizabeth Simmons of Quincy and the late Rev. Gerard Dever. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Walters of Arlington, VA and Brendan & Eric Hale of Milton. Mr. Hale’s life revolved around his loving family and his work. He graduated from Catholic University in Washington D.C. William is a United States Army Veteran and served in Northern Europe including the Battle of the Bulge, during WWII. He retired as a Vice-President in 1982, from the investment banking firm Warburg, Paribas & Becker. Mr. Hale enjoyed summers on Cape Cod and winters in Naples, FL. He loved the beach and traveling. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
