Shea, William F. “Bill” of Quincy (Squantum) October 11, 2007. Beloved husband of Ramona “Mona” (Ayers) Shea. Loving father two daughters, Susan Mason and her husband Forest of Quincy, and Penny Breen and husband Tony of Walpole, and son William C. Shea, and wife Audrey of Squantum. Cherished grandfather of Kristin & Kevin Mason, Kelly & Anthony Breen, and Tammy & Nicholas Shea. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Cremation will follow. Mr. Shea was the founder and long time owner of Bill Shea’s Formica in Quincy. He was active with the Squantum PTO and helped organize the school addition. He was also active in Cub Scouts, Little League and the NQHS Booster Parents when his children were young. Organizing the Squantum Fourth of July Parade was an annual event for Mr. Shea and his wife. He was a member of the Quincy Lion’s Club and served as King Lion in the early 70s. In the 90’s, he devoted himself to planning charity golf tournaments to benefit Hospice, Quincy VNA and the Quincy Animal Shelter. As a member of the Quincy Neighborhood Club, he participated on the House Committee and was active in their bowling leagues. In retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Shea traveled extensively. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Shea may be made to MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or to the American Cancer Society, Central NE Region, 18 Tremont Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02108.
