William E. Lee, 79 of Hull, formerly of Dorchester, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 15, 2009. Bill was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. He was a graduate of Dorchester High where he played baseball and football. He was a lifelong sports fan who loved the Red Sox and Boston College football. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was retired from the Boston Water and Sewer Commission where he worked as an inspector. Bill’s greatest love was his wife and his family. He was the husband of nearly 51 years to Mary P. (Dowd), the devoted father of William Lee of Hull, James Lee of Quincy, Joseph Lee and his wife Effie of Weymouth, Danny Lee and his wife Tricia of N. Easton, Janet Lee of Hull, Erin Lee and her partner Brian More of Hull, Bridget Sullivan and her husband John of Rockland, and the late Richard, Mary and Kelley Lee and the loving “Grampy” to eleven grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY, Tuesday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visitation prior to Mass only. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM.
