William E. Carras

Carras, William E. “Bill” of Holbrook, formerly of Quincy, passed away March 8, 2013, he was 50.

The beloved son of James “Jim” Carras of Quincy and Hazel (Malloch) Carras and her companion Bob Wilson both of Quincy. Brother of Louise Burns, Barbara Robbins and Louis Swank all of Quincy and Christina Bythrow and her husband Daniel of Braintree. Loving companion of Debbie Sullivan of Holbrook. Uncle of Jeanine Mahoney and her husband Steven, Christopher, Kayla, Scott, Nick. Joe, Maura and Sheilagh. Bill is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Bill grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School Class of 1980. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, writing, reading and was a talented artist. He loved rock music and really enjoyed attending concerts. He was a skilled shopper and never left the house without his coupons. Bill worked as a manager for the Big Brother/Big Sisters Foundation in Holbrook. He loved his work and made many dear friends over the many years he worked there. Bill adored his family and in return they cherished him. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  Cremation will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Big Brother/Big Sisters Foundations, 5 Mear Road, Holbrook, MA 02343 OR The American Cancer Society.
