William E. “Bill” Hedvig

Hedvig, William E. “Bill” of Quincy, passed away April 2, 2012. Loving son of Annie (Mellon) Ciani of Weymouth and the late Henry Hedvig. Beloved husband of 52 years to Carolyn R. (Mazza) Hedvig of Quincy. Father of Kimberly A. Volpe and husband Joe of Georgia and Jeff W. Hedvig and his friend Tracy of Rockland. Brother of Russell Hedvig wife Jean of Quincy and Patricia Anderson of Worcester. Grandfather of Joshua, Kaitlyn, Brianna, Dakota. and Michael also survived by sister-in-Law Brenda Nicholson and husband Joe brother-in-law Paul Mazza and wife Pat sister-in-law Barbara Eaton of Weymouth. Many nieces and nephews. Bill worked 20 years for Sears Roebuck Company as shipping and receiving manager. He worked for Certainteed Roofing in Norwood until his retirement. One of his greatest pleasures in life was performing asTurn-Ta – Bill DJ. Bill also served as an usher for 4 years at the Boston Opera House until December of 2011. He proudly served his country with the United States Marines and then completed 18 years with the Mass. National Guard. Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in Quincy Point Congregational Church, 444 Washington Street, Quincy.
