William E. “Bill” Chamberlain

Mr. William E. “Bill” Chamberlain,  of Whitman, died February 24, 2016.

Bill was a member of the Weymouth Police Department for 32 years. He began as a Patrolman and was later promoted to Detective. Bill was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army. In his spare time he enjoyed, golfing, playing pool, and traveling. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Long time companion of Sandra Arnold of Whitman. Loving father of MaryEllen Duggan and her husband, David, of Braintree. Stepfather of William Arnold and his wife, Lisa of Whitman. Brother of Elizabeth Morgan of Roaring Spring, PA, Mary Settle and her husband, Charles, of Duncansville, PA, Andrew Chamberlain and his wife, Louise, of Roaring Spring, PA, Frank Chamberlain and his wife, Joyce, of Lake Bluff, IL, and the late Ada Morgan and Richard Fochler. Loving Grandfather of Adam, Samantha and William Stoddard and Cameron and Gabrielle Arnold. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
