Jaehnig, William D. of Lynn, Suddenly, February 19, 2005. Beloved son of Charles D Sr. and Joan (Conlan) Jaehnig. Brother of Mark C. and his wife Christine of Quincy, Stephen F. of Chicago, Michael G. and his wife Liz of Braintree, James E. and his wife Patti-Ann of Weymouth, Charles D. Jr. and his wife Andree’ of Quincy, and Dan J. and his wife Jane of Quincy. Billy is also survived by his girlfriend Mary Ellen Griffiths of Lynn and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 PM & Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations in memory of Billy may be made to Fr. Bill’s Place 38 Broad St. Quincy, MA 02169. Billy was a member of the Jiggstone adventure Club originating in Quincy, He was a caring advocate for the homeless, selflessly helping the cause in any way he could. Billy had a passion for music both writing it and playing guitar. He would often be listening to and talking about the Grateful Dead, especially Jerry Garcia; Bob Dylan and Jack Kerouac. As a child he played Little League in Quincy and basketball while attending B.C. High School. He was a 1979 graduate of B.C. High and received a BS in engineering from the former University of Lowell. Bill was member of the Electrical Union local 2222. He was also employed by Verizon for the last 22 years as a Telephone Technician.
