Cataldo, William D., Jr. of Squantum, died October 6, 2005 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Devoted husband of Teresa (Egan) Cataldo of Squantum. Beloved father of Barbara Maloney of Quincy, Liam Cataldo of Hingham, John Cataldo of OR, and James and his wife Eileen Cataldo of Dedham. Loving brother of Elizabeth Faherty of Norton, Barbara Harper of NJ, Virginia Shea of Canton, Joseph Cataldo of Duxbury, and Thomas Cataldo of Duxbury. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations in memory of Bill Cataldo may be made to the Caratis Good Samaritan Hospice, 310 Allston St., Boston, MA 02135 Bill was a family oriented person and loved being with his family. He always enjoyed making breakfast for them on Sunday mornings. Bill was a parishioner of Star of the Sea in Squantum. He was a Charter Member of the Robert I. Nickerson Post # 382 American Legion in Squantum and a member of the John P. McKeon Post, No. 146 AMVETS in Dorchester. A graduate of North Quincy High in 1943, he was an avid reader and golfer. Bill was member of the President’s Golf Course in Quincy and was a 3-time “Hole-In-One” golfer. Bill also participated in the “Annual Tweety Golf Tournament” which was family run. Bill was a WWII and Korean Conflict Navy Veteran.
