William “Coach” Hearn

Billy, affectionately known as Coach to most, grew up in Weymouth and attended Bentley University.  Coach had a passion for all sports, especially football and softball.  He coached the Kelly’s Landing softball team and various other teams.  Coach was a member of the Weymouth Elks, a staple at The Cathay Center in Weymouth and Ocean Kai in Hingham and was a father figure to many.  Coach will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his generous and caring personality.  He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved father of Denise D. Jordan-Currul and her husband Frank Currul Jr. of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and Michelle Perlinski of Colorado.  Devoted Coachpa of Benjamin Jordan, Kaysie Currul, Emilee Currul, Joshua Currul, Michael Sawicki and Keith Orner Jr.  Loving brother of Robert Hearn of Kingston, James Hearn and his wife Marguerite of Hanson and the late Elizabeth Batka and the late Donald Hearn.  Cherished brother-in-law of Debra Hearn of Rockland and William Batka of Virginia.  Caring former spouse and dear friend of Marie Crooker.  Adored best friend of Andrea Coyne of Marshfield. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 2-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Funeral service will be private. Cremation will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Coach may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. 

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although  some may not be able to gather together with Coach’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support sharing a special memory or message.
