William P. Cashman

Cashman, William P. Billy of Whitman, passed away on January 8, 2025. He was 69.

Bill was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, cherishing every moment of his 42 years of marriage and the countless family vacations at New Found Lake in New Hampshire as well as the many cruises he and his wife Ann took together. His love for his family was as evident as his passion for music and his unwavering affection for dogs.

Bill's career as a security officer at Polaroid and later at the Museum of Science was marked by the same genuine care and dedication he showed in all aspects of his life. Those who knew Bill will remember him as a loving, kind, and gentle soul, whose presence was as comforting as the television shows he so enjoyed. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by all who had the pleasure of knowing this truly remarkable man.

Devoted husband to Ann Cashman of Whitman. Loving father of Kerri Cashman and her husband Ryan Taylor of Whitman and Kathleen Cashman and her husband Peter Dumond of Weymouth and step-father to Kristin Norton and her husband Steve of Nebraska. Grandfather to Nicholas Norton and Taylor Miller and great-grandfather to Grayson Miller and Peyton Miller. Brother to Judy Lavin of Medford, the late Elizabeth Sewell, the late Robert Wall, and the late David Wall.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 1/19/2025 from 2-6 PMin the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Monday 1/20/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of William may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
