William C. Reid

Reid, William C. of Hingham, died on Friday, June 11, 2010. The beloved husband of the late Alice F. (Higgins) Reid. Loving father of Christopher W. Reid of Scituate, Nicholas D. Reid of Hull, Keith W. Reid of Hingham and Kimberly A. Fuda of Hull. Brother of the late Donald Reid. Grandfather of Adam, Nicole, Alicenne, Matthew, Zachary, Brittany and Benjamin Reid, Christian & Victoria Fuda. Great Grandfather of Braxton Reid. William served in North Africa and Italy with the United States Army Air Corp. during W.W. II. He flew 55 missions with the 15th Air Force, 485th Bomb Group. A talented artist, he taught at the Art Institute of Boston for 35 years. Mr. Reid worked as a commercial artist for many years, retiring in 1987. William loved the Town of Hull. A devoted family man, he will be remembered as a humble, intelligent ,caring, and gentle man who will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Hull on Wednesday, June 16, at 10AM. Burial will be private. Donations in memory of William may be made to Sunset Point Camp, 2 Tenth St. Hull, MA 02045.
