William C. “Bill” Morton

Morton, William C. “Bill” age 79, of Hingham, formally of Chelmsford, passed away at Southshore Hospital due to COVID complications on December 20, 2020. 

He was the beloved husband of Linda Allen Morton for 60 years. Bill was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and attended R.P.I. and University of Florida completing a Masters in aeronautical and electrical engineering. He worked for Raytheon for 30 years, being very involved in the design of the Patriot Missile System. He enjoyed participating in local choirs. His favorite times were spent at “camp” in Otis, Massachusetts with his family. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Bill is also survived by his two daughters, Kellie Biggs and her husband Randy of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Anette Toms and her husband David of Bristol, Rhode Island; beloved Grandpa of Alyssa Biggs, Jason Biggs-Jackson, Meaghan Biggs, Daniel Toms, and Matthew Toms; and Great Grandpa to Finn Carter Biggs-Jackson. Also survived by his sister Patricia Lyon of Pittsfield and niece Keri Costa of Lanesboro. He also leaves behind his treasured dog, Annie.
