William B. Kirby

Kirby, William B. (Kirby) of Hingham, passed away on January 2, 2017 after a long illness. He was a proud WWII Navy and Coast Guard Veteran fighting in the South Pacific. He was also a professional engineer for Raytheon in the Missile Defense Program. 

 William was born in Winthrop, MA to the late Caroline and William Kirby on January 24, 1922. Beloved husband for over 50 years to the late Martha “Elsie” (Thalheimer) Kirby. Cherished father of Kevin M. Kirby and his spouse Michael Hopson of Natick, Jan McElhinny and her spouse Ward of Cohasset and Bruce Kirby of Maine. Proud grandfather of Caroline McElhinny and Corinne and Laurel Kirby. Loving brother of Caroline Freeman of Connecticut and Russell Kirby of Sudbury MA and the late Josiah Kirby of CT.
