William Alfred Weiser, 86, of Hull, died Sunday.
He was born to the late Thomas C. and Gertrude [Ford] Weiser, July 26, 1927, in Somerville. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II aboard the USS Key West on weather patrol in the Pacific. William graduated from St. John’s High School-Cambridge in 1945, received a B. S. in Public Relations from Boston University in 1952 and a M. B. A. from Rutgers University in 1956. Before retiring he worked as an EDP Consultant.
William is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Helen [Musmeci]; Sons Thomas Weiser and wife Peggy of Peabody, Eric Weiser of Long Beach CA, Matthew Weiser and wife Jennifer of Lebanon ME, and Kurt Weiser and wife Erica of Waxhaw NC; Daughters Adrienne Garner and husband Wesley of Goldsboro, NC, and Gwenn Weiser of Franklin; 20 Grandchildren: Leah Sisco and husband Glenn of Whitman, Matt Weiser of Chapel Hill, NC, Anthony Garner and wife Kirsten of Goldsboro NC, Kurt Alexander and Kerry Garner of Greenville, NC, Patrick Weiser and wife Erin of Lancaster, Laura Rowitsch and husband Zach of Tewksbury, Olivia, Jake, Sam, Annabelle, Luke, Eleanor and Ruth Weiser of Lebanon ME, Erika Weiser of Peabody, Nicholas Santucci of Franklin, Alexsis Weiser of Long Beach CA, and Jackson and Lola Weiser of Waxhaw NC; 4 Great Grandchildren: Amari, A. J. and Mia Sisco of Whitman, and Liam Garner of Goldsboro, NC; brother in law Vincent Nobile of Greenland, N.H. Sisters in law Anne Musmeci of Hull and Rosie Kosak of Ocean View, NJ; 14 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews and 8 great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Thomas Weiser Jr. and sisters Edith Nobile and Elizabeth Donnelly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Parish, 208 Samoset Ave, Hull. Burial will be in the Bourne National Veterans’ Cemetery on Monday July 22, 2013 at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to The Friends of the Hull Public Library, P.O. Box 894, Hull, MA 02045
