Flag) Brooks, Jr., William A. “Buddy” a lifelong resident of Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Beloved husband of Grace A. (Centamore) Brooks. Loving father of Joyce C. Brooks of Quincy, William A. Brooks, III of Quincy and Robert M. Brooks of Raleigh, NC. Brother of Alice Gallant of ME, Richard Brooks of Quincy , Philip Brooks of WA , the late Grace Bunting, Frederick and Herbert Brooks. Also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Buddy was a baker at one time and made wedding cakes and the best crisp and light pizzelles. He loved to tinker with cars, made his own car from parts, enjoyed bowling and was well known for his sense of humor and constant teasing. Buddy was quite the carpenter and made additions to his home himself as well as volunteering his services to the Friends of the Unborn in Quincy. He was Vice President of Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International in Braintree and a member of the Kingdom of God, St. Joseph’s Prayer Group in Quincy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend A Celebration of Life Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Wollaston, MA, Monday at 9:15AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mr. Brooks may be made to the Friends of the Unborn, P.O. Box 692246, Quincy, MA 02169.
