William A. Boudreau

William (Bill) Boudreau of Abington died Tuesday, November 17th, at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving family. Originally from North Weymouth, Bill spent many of his teenage years working at his father’s gas station, Boudreau’s Atlantic. In 1961, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for four years. After his time in the service, he completed an electrical apprenticeship and became a member of Local 103. For 30 years he worked as an electrician for the MBTA. Growing up he played the piano and was a lifelong enthusiast of classical music. He was a member of the Bagaduce Music Lending Library. Bill was an avid newspaper reader and was extremely knowledgeable about current events, both locally and around the world. He followed politics, greatly enjoyed political debate and was a steadfast supporter of the Second Amendment.  His background of working in his father’s garage and his knowledge of electricity contributed to his ability to repair and fix many things. He was a true “do it yourselfer”. In later years, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Percy and Miriam (Macusty) Boudreau. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Paula (Kelly) Boudreau of Abington, his daughter Christine Banks and her husband Michael of Norwood and his daughter Jacqueline Heald and her husband Gary of Abington. He was the grandfather of Erin and Justin Banks of Norwood. He was the brother of Margaret Archibald of Braintree and her late husband Donald, John Boudreau and his wife Johanna of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Elizabeth Archibald and her husband Richard of South Weymouth and Mary Boudreau and her companion Michael Kelly of South Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His wife and daughters would like to thank Bill’s siblings and their families for their love and support. Visiting hours are Sunday, November 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main Street.
