Wilhelmina "Pat" Maltese, a cherished matriarch known for her vivacity and wit, passed away surrounded by love and family on June, 24, 2024. Pat was a longtime resident of Braintree, formerly of Boston. She was born in Boston to the late Phillip and Johanna Coyne and was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School. Pat was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, always ready with a laugh or a helping hand.
Throughout her life, Pat was the heart of her family, raising her children with care and devotion in Roxbury and Braintree. Her home was a welcoming place where laughter and love were always in abundance. Pat's sense of humor was infectious, and she could be mistaken for the "Energizer Bunny" for her tireless energy and ability to keep moving forward, no matter what life threw her way.
A woman of many interests, Pat was an avid bowler, a master of Bingo, and a puzzle enthusiast. Her love for Sudoku and various games was well-known, and she could often be found with a puzzle in progress.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late John D. Maltese. Together, they raised three children, John Maltese of Rhode Island, Michael and his wife Kathy of Hanson and Linda Maltese of Florida. Pat was the adored sister of Kathy Keefe and her husband Tommy of Florida, and was predeceased by her siblings Donald, Phyllis, Joanne, and Richard. Her role as Nana to Nicole and Mark was one of her greatest joys. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So.
