Wiiliam “Billy” James Mullen

William “Billy” James Mullen of Weymouth, passed away by accident at the age of 26 on December 3, 2018.

Billy graduated from Weymouth High in 2011, and played volleyball four years. Graduated Endicott College 2015 where he played volleyball for three years, co-captain his senior year. He loved spending time with his family especially on holidays and vacations. Trips to Maine with his friends were also a big part of his life. An avid athlete, volleyball, baseball, and most recently softball were his favorites. His love for his Patriots and Red Sox were second to none. He was involved with Best Buddies. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 2. He served as a combat medic in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was involved in Weymouth Little league, Weymouth Recreation, and served as an assistant Volleyball coach at Stonehill College. His Passion and Love of Life will be in us all for a lifetime.

Beloved son of Michael F. and Jane M. (Cody) Mullen. Loving brother of Matthew Mullen and Samantha Mullen both of Weymouth. Grandson of Gail Cody of Weymouth, and the late Paul Cody, William and Eleanor Mullen. Loving nephew of Debra and David Smith; William and his late wife Lisa Mullen; James and Nancy Mullen; Luanne Mullen; and the late Patricia and Edward Reynolds; and Nancy Mullen. Loving cousin of Paul, Mei, David, Julie, Leslie, Lauren, Kate, Jessica, Christopher, Gregory, and Melissa, and other family members. Boyfriend of Lauren McGraw. Also survived by many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Military Friends Foundation, 6 Beacon Street, Suite 200, Boston, MA 02108.
