Wayne “Butch” Hartshorn

Mr. Wayne “Butch” Hartshorn, of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 7, 2023. He was 74.

Born in Boston, a son of the late Frederick and Lorraine Hartshorn, Butch had lived in Weymouth for many years. He worked for many years as a Painter for Painters and Allied Trades Local # 939. He was a longtime member of the Weymouth/Braintree Elks Lodge # 2232. Butch in his spare time, enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to the beach. He loved a good party and just enjoyed being around people. Butch adored his family and the special moments spent with his grandchildren will never be forgotten. Butch will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Davis) Hartshorn. 

Loving father of  Kathleen Venuto and her husband, Mark of Pembroke, and Wayne G. Hartshorn, Jr of Weymouth. 

Brother of Donna Glynn and her late husband, James of Quincy, and the late Kevin Hartshorn, Yvette Hartshorn, and Keith Hartshorn and his surviving wife, Linda, of Quincy. Cherished Papa to Kara Venuto, Mark Venuto, Jr, Ella Hartshorn, Braden Hartshorn, and Ava Hartshorn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday from 1-4PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). 

Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
