Wayne F. Hylan of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer,  September 12, 2015.

Beloved husband of 28 years of Karen (Wisinski) Hylan of Abington.  Loving father of Nicolette Hylan and her fiance Kyle King of Pennsylvania and Rachael Hylan and Joshua Macedo of Woburn.  Cherished grandfather of Jordyn Macedo. Dear brother of Donna Banks and her husband, Jerry, of Pembroke, Cheryl Blake and her husband, Dick, of Hingham, Paul Hylan and his wife, Kathy, of Weymouth and Ralph Hylan and his wife, Patti, of Seminole, FL. Wayne is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

With a BSN for over 30 years, Wayne was an active clinical nurse at the Beth Isreal Deaconess Hospital and continued practicing at the South Shore Hospital in the OR. He was an avid fisherman who loved playing basketball, skiing and gardening.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A memorial service will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Wayne’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
