Warren “Tinky” Seaver

Seaver, Warren F., Sr. “Tinky” of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died February 22, 2016 and entered into eternal rest at the age of 93 surrounded by his loving family.  

Tinky proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He owned and operated the old Sands Cafe in Fields Corner for over 50 years. He loved gambling and traveling to different casinos all over the country. He loved the beach and enjoyed spending summers on Cape Cod. Tinky was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. He was a member of the Mayflower Society and the Disabled American Veterans Post. Tinky donated to many charities, especially those aiding Veterans. He adored his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. Tinky was a brave, strong, and proud man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Beloved husband of 64 years to Virginia (McInnis) Seaver. Loving father of Regina Seaver Keaveney and her husband Tom, Warren Seaver Jr., and the late Janet St. Pierre. Predeceased by 10 siblings. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Noelle, Terrence, Shannon, Brendan, Aiden “AJ”, Paul, and the late Samantha. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Warren may be made to New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., 9th Floor, Boston, MA 02108.
