Warren G. Shadrick, of Mansfield, entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2022.
Warren grew up on the north side of Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1961. He was a Notary Public and he worked for many years in shipping and receiving at Foot Joy in Brockton. Warren was also ordained as a Minister through the Universal Life Church, which enabled him to officiate weddings. Warren was skilled with computers and electronics of all kinds. His interest in electronics lead to a love of CB Radios (his handle was ‘warlock’) as well as amateur HAM radio (call sign KQI-2674). He was proud of his time as President of the South Shore Radio Control Club, flying hobby radio controlled air planes and boats. Warren loved to debate, share knowledge, and play devils advocate with his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as intelligent, kind, and funny.
Warren was the son of the late Alan and Vera (Harriman) Shadrick. He will be very much missed by his brother Bruce W. Shadrick and his wife Joan of Brockton, Raymond Shadrick and his partner Mary of Falmouth, Jeff Shadrick of Halifax, and sister in law Joanne Shadrick of East Bridgewater. He was the beloved Uncle of April Doran and her husband John of Pembroke, Derek Shadrick and his wife Heidi of East Bridgewater, and Melissa Willard of Whitman. Great Uncle to Finley and Keegan Shadrick of East Bridgewater and Abigail Van of Whitman. Warren was predeceased by his nephew Shon Shadrick as well as his beloved cat, Katie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM. A graveside service will be held at 12:45 PM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Corner of East St. (Rt. 106) and Franklin St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the MSPCA or your local animal shelter in both Warren and Katie’s memory.
