Warren E. Toland, Sr.

Warren E. Toland, Sr. of Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, died at home on March 5, 2017 at the age of 75.

Warren worked as a teacher and administrator for over 40 years for Boston Public Schools, finishing his career at Charlestown High School, where he spent 22 years. He also worked as an adjunct professor at Massasoit Community College for 30 years. Following Boston sports teams and taking cruises with the love of his life, his wife Joyce, were two of Warren’s favorite activities and he was a talented softball pitcher in his younger days. Most of all, Warren cherished his role as a grandfather and was crazy about each of his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 51 1/2 years to Joyce A. (Boulay) Toland. Loving father of Warren E. Toland, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Torrington, CT, Jay M. Toland and wife Nancy of Bolton, and Craig R. Toland and wife Shannon of Norwell. Brother of William W. Toland of PA and the late Virginia O’Neil, Donald “Duncan”, Paul, and Edward E. Toland. Devoted “Papa” of Declan, Ainsley, Conal, Jay, Jr., Conor, Emma, Daniel, the late Liam, Garrett, Julia, and Colleen. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
