Warren E. “Mel” Melanson

Melanson, Warren E. “Mel” of Dorchester, formerly of Weymouth & Quincy, July 22, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Condon) Melanson. Loving father of Leo Melanson and his wife Ann of Westborough and Neal Melanson and his wife Shiloh of Weymouth. Brother of Arlene Carroll of Norwood and the late Herbert, Gerald and Helen Laskey. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Melanson was born and raised in Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School. Warren lived most of his adult life in Weymouth, before moving to Dorchester, 15 years ago. He was a member of the VFW Post 6536. Mr. Melanson served with the United States Marines from 1953-1957. He worked as a long haul truck driver for many years and at several different companies. He had a passion for trucks and heavy equipment and was an accomplished mechanic. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Visitation in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Monday from 4-8 PM.
