Wanda W. Putnam

Wanda W. Putnam, born on August 20, 1941, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, in Hingham, Massachusetts. A cherished family member and a beloved friend to many, Wanda's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and her unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Wanda is survived by her siblings, Sharon Khaw and Janette Rowsell of Massachusetts, and Russell O'done of Maine. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Jeannie and Susan, and a devoted grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Savanna and also grandmother to two grandsons, Michael and Wyatt. Wanda's family also includes numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

An enthusiastic football aficionado, Wanda was a diehard New England Patriots fan. She never missed a game, decorating her walls with posters of iconic players like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Whether donning her favorite Patriots sweatshirt for a coffee run or gathering with friends and family to cheer on her team, Wanda's passion for the game was a significant part of her life.

One of Wanda's favorite daily rituals was her afternoon visits to Dunkin' Donuts, where she would meet up with her friends for coffee. Renowned for her warm heart and inviting nature, she transformed a simple gathering into a cherished community. What began as a small group soon blossomed into a large and welcoming assembly of over twenty friends who came together to share laughter, stories, and adventures, including road trips to the casino and movie nights.

Wanda's kindness extended beyond her gatherings at Dunkin' Donuts. As an aide to the elderly at Best of Care, she formed meaningful relationships with her coworkers and the residents she served, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, from the Dunkin' Donuts staff, who greeted her by name, to her dearest friends – Emilie, Betty, Peggy, Randy, Patsy, John, Steve, Pete, Jake, and countless others.

Wanda W. Putnam leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and compassion that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her memory will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of her family and friends.
