Wanda J. Sorensen

Sorensen, Wanda J. of Quincy, died peacefully at her home on Sunday September 25, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. The beloved daughter of the late John & Margaret (Begalke) Sorensen. Loving sister of Marjorie Petillo of Revere, Muriel Collier and Shirley Griffin both of Dorchester, Alma Casey of Roslindale , Leonard Sorensen of Braintree and the late Arlene McKernan, Dorothy Dicks and John Sorensen. Wanda is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Wanda grew up in Dorchester . She worked as a nursing assistant in various nursing homes in Dorchester and Quincy. She enjoyed being a caregiver and excelled at her work. Wanda loved to travel taking trips to Ireland, Atlantic City and Foxwoods gave her great enjoyment. Wanda will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday , Sept. 30 from 10am to 12 noon in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 Noon on Friday. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Wanda may be made to Susan G.
