Wanda Darlene (Dyer) Ragon, of Mesa, Arizona, born March 12, 1927, in Independence, Kansas, died peacefully with her son, Steve, and granddaughter, Carolyn by her side on April 17, 2013 in Cambridge, MA.
Beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. William B. Ragon and mother of the late W. Michael Ragon. She is survived by her son Phillip Terrence and his wife Susan of Cambridge, MA and her son Stephen Floyd and his wife Wendi of Melrose, MA. Darlene is also survived by her sister, L. Nadine Dyer of Phoenix, AZ, and six grandchildren, Sean and Evan Ragon of New York, and Eleanor, Olivia, Carolyn, and Amelia Ragon of Melrose, MA. Darlene travelled widely with her family, living in Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Louisiana, Virginia, Bogota Colombia, and Texas before returning to Arizona in 1969.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ, 480-945-2654 on Sunday, April 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday April 22 at 9:30 a.m. for funeral services and interment in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlene’s memory to the charity of your choice.
