Loving father of Mark Hughes and wife Karen, Cynthia Hughes, David Hughes and wife Stacey, Malinda Curtis and husband Jonathan, Ellen Nelson and husband Richard and Heather Hughes. Loving grandfather of Laurena, Tom, Kate, Tessa, Samantha and Nathaniel. Loving brother of Jim Hughes, Lois Jean Briner, Shirley Floyd and her husband Bill. Visiting hours at the family home at 30 Mann Hill Road, Scituate on Sunday August 13, 2006 from 3-7pm. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Scituate Harbor, Monday August 14, 2006 at 11am. Burial in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Reverend Father George B. Gray Fund, Boston College Development Office, More Hall 220, 140 Commonwealth Ave, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. Industrial Arts teacher at Cohasset Junion High School for 31 years. Former member of the Scituate Town Recreation Board.
