Tyler and his wife Elvie of Guam, Tracey Tyler-O’Reilly and her husband Timothy of VT, Mary Tyler of Rockland and her late husband John Perry, Michael A. Tyler and his wife Susan of Pembroke, Susan M.F. Tyler of Rockland, Janice Welch and her husband Kevin of Taunton and the late John “Toby” Tyler. Brother of Eileen Daddio of NY. Grandfather of Monica, Joseph and Rebecca O’Reilly, John and Janet Perry, Colby, Emily and Allison Tyler, Stephen Tyler Jr., Kathleen and Richard Monti, P. Sean and Aimee Tyler. Great-grandfather of Nicolas and Max Monti, Madison Perry, Madison Tyler and Anna O’Reilly. Walter worked for Babcock Davis in Arlington as a metal designer for 20 years before retiring in 1973. He also worked mutuals at Suffolk Downs and Foxboro Raceway until he was 81 years old. His advocation was a professional stitcher. He was a superb athlete throughout his life. He was an avid swimmer and enjoyed dancing and handball. Mr. Tyler’s aunt was Mary Tyler Moore’s grandmother. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham, Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 1- 5 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
