Egan, Walter J. of Hingham died peacefully on June 22, 2008. Beloved husband of Marie E. (Garron) Egan. Devoted father of Leo F. Egan of Dorchester, Sean M. Egan and his wife Sheni of Hull, Joseph W. Egan and his wife Pati of Hingham, Maureen E. Egan and her husband Tim Seymour of Rockport, ME, Timothy P. Egan and his wife Bobbi Sue of Plymouth, and of the late Jerome D. Egan and the late Anne Marie Egan. Dear father-in-law of Joan Egan of South Dennis. Loving brother of David Egan of Marshfield, and the late John Egan and Jeanne Maguire. Cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Walter was also loved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Many students benefited from Walter’s knowledge and guidance during his long tenure as the Dean of Students at Newman Preparatory School in Boston. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Friday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 11 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walter J.
