Walter Gordon Sullivan, of Weymouth, formerly of Lowell, died January 18, 2021.
Walter worked as a tunnel worker with Local 88 of Boston for over 25 years. He was a devoted member of AA for over 13 years and served as a sponsor and mentor to many. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to the beach and had a love for animals. He will be remembered as a happy, selfless man who was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 39 years to Dorothy Diane Durfee of Weymouth and former husband of Diane Chevalier of Dracut. Father of Dennis Sullivan of Dracut, Keith Sullivan of CA, Jana Sullivan of CA, the late Shamus Durfee Sullivan and adopted son Kenneth Lewis of Rockland. Loving brother of Larry Sullivan of Wrentham, Patricia Kane of ME and the late Donald Sullivan, Gene Sullivan, Beverly Woodford and Lenore Sullivan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with Walter’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a special memory or message.
