W. Rae Sims

Sims, W. Rae (Macdonald) of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree and Quincy, passed away March 17, 2011. Beloved wife of Colin Sims of Weymouth. Loving mother of Robin White and her husband Mark Glavin of Plymouth and Brandon White of Denver, CO. Sister of Laurie Mahoney of Walpole and Richard Macdonald of FL. Cherished grandmother of Shane Glavin of Plymouth. Devoted aunt to Joshua Haddad of Walpole. Stepmother of Stephen Sims and his wife Pat of London England. Rae was also the wife of the late Francis X. White. Rae was born in Quincy, raised in Squantum before moving to Braintree and living in Weymouth since 2004. Rae was a graduate of North Quincy High School class of 1955. Rae was known to be a very strong willed person with a great passion for the arts, she was very creative and enjoyed decorating and painting. Most of all Rae loved spending time with her grandson Shane. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30am in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Rae may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, National Processing Center, Atten: Memorial Gifts, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
