Bruzgys, Vytautas of Quincy September 8, 2007. Brother of Birute Tamulis of CA and Gene Bruzgys of Lithuania. Long time friend of Nijole of Worcester. Also survived by countless nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Peter’s Church, 50 Orton Marotta Way, South Boston at 10 AM.

Visiting hours Thursday 6-8 PM. Cremation will follow. Mr. Bruzgys worked for Polaroid in Boston for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a chemist and retired as a senior scientist. At age 14, he immigrated alone to the United States. In 1956, he earned his Bachelor of Science at George Williams College in Montreal and in 1972, earned his Masters in Science from Suffolk University. A member of a Lithuanian Sextet, he and his group performed in many places.Lithuanian heritage was important to Mr. Bruzgys as he also taught Lithuanian Folk Dancing in Brookline. He coached basketball and volleyball for high school athletes while living in Kennebunkport, ME. Mr. Bruzgys also enjoyed traveling and saw much of the world throughout his life. Donations in memory of Mr. Bruzgys may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
