Virginia R. “Ginny” Russo

Virginia R. “Ginny” Russo, of Weymouth, died June 18, 2013. Ginny grew up in Braintree and has lived in Weymouth for 50 years. She worked as a beautician at Marvel Beauty in Quincy for most of her career. Ginny was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, especially her grandchildren and her generosity. 

Beloved wife of the late Luigi Russo. Dedicated mother of Sandra Drew and her husband Jeffrey of NH, Susan Knight and her late husband Kenneth of ME, Sally Baines of ME and Steven Russo and his wife Pamela of Weymouth. Cherished “Nanny” of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Elizabeth Moore of ID. Sister-in-law of Arthur Russo and his companion Anna of Rockland. Sister-in-law and close friend of the late Nina DeCoste. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends will gather on Monday 11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), prior to the funeral service at 12 PM. Burial in Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. Donations in memory of Ginny may be made to the Virginia Russo Memorial Fund, c/o S Bank, 195 Washington Street, Weymouth, Ma 02188.
